A few things about me:
I am completing courses in the Provincial Instructors Diploma Program to strengthen my instructing skills and move into Instructional Design / Curriculum Development.
I plan to transfer my analytical, evaluation, writing, and editing skills to this new field, and am optimistic that my skills will transfer well. I am excited about the possibilities in adult education, which I've been working in for over 10 years.
I work at a small community college in central BC. I am the marketing officer for my campus. I am instructing Communication Skills and have also taught university-transfer English courses. I recently was a Program Coordinator for a 6-month term.
This is my 3rd class in the PIDP. I’ve also completed Program Planning for Adult Learners from UVic.
I have BA in English and an MEd degree.
I have taken classes recently in Plain Language, editing, photography, and graphic design.
Writing is always a large part of the work that I do.
I love music, travel, singing, paddleboarding, skiing, and learning how to mountain bike. I enjoy water and nature.
I am passionate about the arts, and have many years of volunteer experience in arts administration.
